Roles of a Ranger
Lost in Forestville had the honor of creating Roles of a Ranger narrated by Edward Norton for Re:wild, a global wildlife organization founded by Leonardo DiCaprio. It was an honor to partner with conservation leaders and artists hailing from Brazil, Uruguay, China, Canada, Sweden, Poland, Nederlands, and USA.
Wildlife rangers are our unsung heroes that heal and protect. They study and protect the environment, rescue wildlife, and preserve cultural and historical places. Through chaotic conditions, harsh weather, and catastrophic fires, rangers are first in line to respond to environmental and human induced threats.
Roles of a Ranger is the second episode in this 5 part animated Ranger series. The series is featured in the Force for Nature, an app for international wildlife rangers to help connect, educate, and support each other. Together, they offer a glimpse into the broad scope of ranger life and impact – who they are, what they do, why it matters – and how we, as citizens of the planet, can support, honor, and empower these vital frontline workers.
One Home featuring Cristina Mittermeier
Celebrate this beautiful water planet we call home on this 50th Earth Day with Global Wildlife Conservation’s One Home 5-part series.
Join Cristina Mittermeier, renowned marine biologist, National Geographic photographer, and co-founder of SeaLegacy in honoring our oceans. We are all connected – we are not separate from nature, but an integral part of it. If we respect and care for biodiversity, ecosystems, and we support those at the frontlines of conservation, we can fight the climate crisis.
Created in 2020 during the first 6 weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic, this film was created by a tiny team of highly devoted individuals. Together, we connected from within our homes across state and international borders. Our bodies and our earth are our only true homes. Just as we protect our human body, we must also protect our earth body.
One body. One home. Happy Earth Day (because every day is Earth Day).
